Remember, you can use ideas from things that have actually happened to you. Realistic fiction could really happen, but authors exaggerate the story. Think about the story, My Rotten Red-Headed Older Brother. Her brother was really rotten, but a lot of the details were added to make her story more interesting. Remember Realistic Fiction has a problem and a solution. What problem did the character have with her brother? Refresh your memory and reread the book here:
